Bitwig is just so much more streamlined for my needs. I will still have to use Cubase for anything involving ARA2 or working with video audio, but aside from that I will never use it again. So far my only gripe with Bitwig Studio 4 is the transient detection when slicing loops needs a lot of work & I miss Cubase Pro’s mixer snapshots when mixing down. No multi assignable macros, no native modulators, no multiband FX wrappers, no FM synth, projects get super cluttered fast with MIDI tracks added only for routing purposes, if you want to use a modulation shaper (like LFOtool) and you can only use it as a MIDI CC mod source.īitwig blows Cubase 11 out of the water when it comes to sound design, synthesis, sampling.
I used cubase for many years, but it was becoming tedious to use as a sound design & electronic production environment. It is so far beyond what any other DAW is capable of in this area, but your main pro point for it was a feature that isnt out yet? No mention of Bitwig’s (groundbreaking) modulation system?
